A police investigation in Thunder Bay has led to the seizure of suspected drugs and a gun.
Officers searched a home on Tupper Street on Wednesday as part of the investigation.
During the search, a resident of southern Ontario was found, and they were taken into custody.
Officers also seized suspected cocaine and fentanyl, along with the gun and cash.
The estimated street value of the drugs is roughly $175,000.
As a result, a 23-year-old from Brampton is facing the following charges:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of prohibited device
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
